WHITE (model 500CM)

I have a hard time believing the fact there are a good many folks alive today that have never experienced the pleasure of connecting to remote humans via the ritual of rotary dialing. Much in the same way I have never actually connected to a remote telephone by turning the crank and asking Mable to kindly connect me to my party.

The device offered here in exchange for currency is a Genuine Bell Systems Telephone made by Western Electric.  This is a nice example of when Telephones were a miracle of modern science that even a schoolboy (or girl) could comprehend. This is from the later days of rotary pulse dialing because it features the "new-fangled" modular RJ11 connectors.

As I look at these pictures now, they seem to show this to be an Ivory colored phone but please be aware this one is actually a White telephone.

I just now had the thought to hang-on to this and wire my door bell to it (how cool would that be?) Maybe you can do something like that... or perhaps even use it as a telephone - although I have not been able to test this device, odds are it is just fine and dandy.
